Goods and Service Tax Registration Procedure
Procedure for goods and services tax registration.
Any business in India that has a turnover of 20 lakhs or more has to register under GST. The process is
1. Get a TRN (Temporary Registration Number) for new registrants.
2. Fill in the PART B and get your login Id and password within 7 days.
3. Carry out the compliances.
Documents required :
The applicant is required to submit a self attested copy of the following documents :
- Copy of the PAN Card of the proprietor or the legal entity registered.
- Recent passport size photograph and proof of identity & proof of residence namely, Passport, Voter Identity card, Aadhar Card, Driving license, etc.
- For proof of address of business premises, Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill, etc. If the premise is rented then, proof of ownership, lease or rent agreement & No Objection Certificate from the legal owner.
- Copy of shop act registration
- Bank account details such as copy of bank statement, passbook.
- Copy of Government registration certificates such as VAT Registration Certificate, central sales tax number (CST), Incorporation Certificate (in case of company/LLP), Customs Registration No., etc which have been issued prior to the filing of the GST application.
If applicant is a company then the following additional documents are also required to be submitted :
- List of directors / partners along with copy of PAN card, Email ID, mobile no. address and passport sized photograph.
- Authorication by the Board of Directors/Partners/Proprietor for the person filing the application in company letter head.
- Self Attested copy of address proof, PAN of authorized person.
